Biography:
Gamora, portrayed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), is a complex character initially introduced in Guardians of the Galaxy (2014). She is an adopted daughter of Thanos and the last of her species, the Zen-Whoberis, who were decimated by him.
Trained as a deadly assassin, Gamora served Thanos as part of his efforts to acquire the Infinity Stones. However, she eventually turned against him, recognizing his destructive ambition and seeking to thwart his plans.
Gamora joins the Guardians of the Galaxy, becoming a crucial member and developing close relationships, particularly with Peter Quill. Her knowledge of the galaxy and combat skills prove invaluable in their fight against various threats.
In the Infinity Saga, Gamora sacrifices herself to Thanos in order to prevent him from obtaining the Soul Stone. This version of her is effectively killed. However, a Gamora from an alternate timeline (2014) is brought to the present. She does not share the same history or relationships as the Gamora who died, creating a new dynamic within the Guardians.
